The Game Concept: Augmented Reality Treasure Hunt
The AR Treasure Hunt revolved around sticker scanning using mobile phones. Users embarked on a digital quest inside the store, scanning custom-printed stickers placed at strategic locations—each one unlocking a new clue and bringing the animated Bitty mascot to life in 3D.
How It Worked:
Start the Hunt
Users accessed the experience by scanning a QR code displayed at the store entrance—no app download required.Follow the Clues
The system provided personalized hints that guided users through different departments or product zones.Scan the Stickers
At each checkpoint, users located and scanned an AR sticker using their smartphone camera.AR Magic Unlocked
The brand mascot, Bitty, popped out in augmented reality with fun animations and messages, congratulating users and dropping the next clue.
Final Checkpoint & Completion
Once all checkpoints were completed, users reached the final screen showing their score, time taken, and a thank-you message from Bitty—followed by a prize/reward claim screen.
Data Collection & Personalization
The experience wasn’t just fun—it was also insightful and personalized. Before beginning the hunt, users submitted their:
Name
Mobile Number
Email Address
Store Location Visited
As users progressed through the hunt, we captured:
Time taken to complete the game
Number of checkpoints completed
Unique player ID linked to the experience
All this data was securely stored and made available to Courts’ marketing team via a real-time dashboard, enabling post-event engagement, re-marketing, and analytics.
