1. Kick to Win: Multiplayer Kinect AFL Game

Concept: Leveraging the motion-sensing capabilities of Microsoft Kinect, NXT Interactive developed "Kick to Win," a dynamic and competitive multiplayer AFL game. This gesture-based experience allowed participants to physically kick towards a virtual goal, fostering a sense of active participation and excitement.

Key Features:

  • Gesture-Based Gameplay: Players used real kicking motions, translated seamlessly into in-game actions by the Kinect sensor. 1 This intuitive interface made the game accessible and engaging for individuals of all ages and sporting abilities.  

  • Multiplayer Competition: The game was designed for multiplayer interaction, allowing participants to compete head-to-head in real-time. This element of competition heightened engagement and encouraged repeat play.

  • Fast-Paced Action: Each round was designed to be approximately one minute long, ensuring quick and engaging bursts of fun for participants.

  • Unlimited Goals: The objective was simple: score as many goals as possible within the time limit, encouraging active and continuous engagement.

  • Visually Engaging: The game featured dynamic visuals and scoring feedback, creating an immersive and exciting experience for players and onlookers alike.
